1. Overview

The Real App Store ("we", "us", "our") is a marketplace for self-hosted applications. By using our platform, you agree to these terms. We provide a venue for developers to sell apps and for buyers to purchase and deploy them to their own infrastructure.

2. For Buyers

  • Pricing: App prices are set by developers after earning pricing rights (25+ downloads with 4+ star rating). Every new app starts with 25 free downloads.
  • One-Time Purchase: All purchases are one-time payments. You own the app forever.
  • Refunds: 30-day money-back guarantee if the app does not function as described. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  • Deployment: Apps deploy to your own cloud infrastructure. You are responsible for your cloud provider costs (e.g., Digital Ocean ~$12/month).
  • Data Ownership: All data generated by deployed apps resides on your servers. We have no access to it.

3. For Developers

  • Revenue Share: Developers receive 75% of each sale. The 25% platform fee covers payment processing, hosting, security scanning, compliance, tax reserve, and platform sustainability.
  • Review Fees: AI verification costs $19 (flat fee). Human testing costs $299–$2,499 based on app size (Small, Medium, Large) and testing level (Functionality Tested, Deep Tested). First revision is free if your app doesn't pass.
  • Payouts: Monthly payouts via Stripe Connect with a minimum threshold of $50.
  • Submissions: All apps must be Dockerized, include a health check endpoint, and pass our security review. We reserve the right to reject or remove apps that don't meet quality standards.
  • Earn-Your-Price: Apps start with 25 free downloads. After reaching 4+ stars with 25+ downloads, you earn pricing rights and set your own price.

4. Verification & Quality

We provide a two-phase verification process (AI + human). We guarantee 95% bug detection for human-verified apps. This is not a guarantee of zero bugs. Edge cases, race conditions, and browser-specific issues may occasionally occur.

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Submit apps containing malware, backdoors, or malicious code.
  • Attempt to bypass our security scanning or review process.
  • Misrepresent app functionality or capabilities.
  • Use the platform for any illegal purpose.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Real App Store is provided "as is". We are not liable for damages arising from app deployments, data loss on your infrastructure, or third-party service outages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific app in question.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
